7 1/4 inch gauge AME "Saturn 4" 0-4-0 + 0-4-0

A 7 1/4 inch gauge AME "Saturn 4" battery electric locomotive, in excellent condition having seen very little use from new - it came in along with the Phoenix "Tug" and part-built petrol-hydraulic locomotives we've sold recently.

A large, powerful locomotive with a pair of batteries providing 24 volts through an Mtronics controller to four motors.

Substantially built on 6mm steel frames, it utilises the well-proven bogies from AME's Class 66 design. The locomotive breaks down into four parts for transport - bogies, chassis and body. The batteries can be quickly removed and replaced at the track.

Fitted with a sound card and complete with Lucas LSLC75-12 deep cycle batteries - specifically designed for electric mobility scooters, they're ideally suited to this sort of application.
