3 1/2 inch gauge BR Standard Class 2 2-6-2T

A part-built 3 1/2 inch gauge BR Standard Class 2 tank, comprising a rolling chassis with much of the motionwork and valve gear, along with a silver soldered copper boiler.

The work of a highly prolific engineer, we've had many of his engines over the years, although it's fair to say that his enthusiasm for new projects tended to exceed the hours available in a day to complete them.

About one in three of his engines were ever finished, however he had a good deal of enjoyment researching, drawing and building everything he set his hand to - probably not a bad way to spend a retirement!
