A gauge 1 coal-fired Pacific, currently in the throes of an ill-conceived remodelling exercise with cowcatcher and horrendous looking chimney. Underneath is quite a nicely proportioned locomotive, well worth rescuing.
Copper fire tube boiler with combustion chamber, feed by axle pump with hand pump in the tender. Gunmetal cylinders with slide valves actuated by slip eccentric valve gear.
