1 1/2 inch scale Allchin agricultural engine

A finely built 1 1/2 inch scale Allchin agricultural engine to W.J.Hughes' "Royal Chester" design, it's recently come to us from a long time customer in part exchange for a 2 inch scale Fowler A7 agricultural engine

The Allchin has allegedly been steamed in the past, although the as-new condition of grate, chimney and bright hornplate nuts in the firebox would tend to suggest otherwise.

The engine remains in excellent mechanical condition, it runs well on air. The boiler has had a twice working pressure hydraulic test with new certification issued.

Paintwork and lining are well-executed and in good, bright condition.
