1 1/2 inch scale Allchin agricultural engine

A well made 1 1/2 inch scale Allchin agricultural engine to W.J.Hughes' detailed "Royal Chester" design, an older engine it has evidence of being steamed in the past but has spent many years in a nicely made glass case.

The engine turns over without tight posts and runs on air in both directions. The paintwork has a patina of age about it which is rather appealing, evocative of many full-size agricultural engines.

We like the little details on this one, from the minute split pins in the steering chain adjusters where they bolt to the spud pan and tax disc on the smokebox to the toolbox padlock, with key.
