1 inch scale "Minnie" traction engine

A very well made 1 inch scale agricultural engine to Len Mason's popular "Minnie" design.

Fit and finished of machined parts is good, the paintwork well-executed and remaining in bright condition, the dark green and maroon livery particularly attractive on an engine of this type.

The engine turns over freely and runs well on air. The boiler appears in good condition on visual inspection, however leaks at the joint between cylinder block and boiler precluded any meaningful hydraulic test.

The mechanical lubricator drawn up for this design must be one of the smallest built on a regular basis - we've rarely had problems with them, although this one needs some attention to the pawl and ratchet, which is unreliable in operation.
