3 1/2 inch gauge "Britannia"

We sold this one back in 2021, its recently come back in pretty much the same condition as it was two years ago - pictures opposite are from that time.

Since arriving the commercially built boiler has had new hydraulic and steam tests with new certification issued - injector still less use than ornament, there is some blow by past pistons and/or valves, although it runs well enough.

An older 3 1/2 inch gauge "Britannia" to the LBSC design, with rather pedestrian paintwork although in good running order.

Built to a decent standard in the first place, the engine doesn't appear to have had a great deal of use judging by the condition of the motionwork and valve gear - one bush in the right hand rear coupling rod the only wear of note.

It proved free-steaming under test and ran well in both directions. Boiler is fed by efficient axle and hand pumps, the injector appears largely ornamental...
