5 inch gauge "Britannia" chassis

An exceptionally well built 5 inch gauge "Britannia" rolling chassis, complete with cylinders, brake gear and axle pump.

Work to date is to a high standard, the chassis rolls freely without tight spots. There is some light surface rust twhich would remove easily once stripped for painting.

Drawings and castings are available from our friends at Blackgates Engineering, as ever Model Engineers Laser can supply a wide range of parts to fast track the build.

The chassis would give a good start to producing a fine example of this popular design - we sold a nice one back in 2019, there are pictures in the archive here if you need any further encouragement to head out to the workshop!
