5 inch gauge Caledonian Railway 498 class 0-6-0T

A 5 inch gauge Caledonian 498 class 0-6-0T, about 90% complete, requiring some minor finishing work and painting.

The work of an experienced model engineer and boiler maker (he was also responsible for the J39 we have in at the moment), work to date is to a good standard.

The chassis runs well on air with clear, square exhaust beats in both directions.

The silver soldered copper boiler has had a twice working pressure hydraulic test, there is club certification for same dated 2018.
