5 inch gauge Class 47 battery electric

We originally sold this one back in 2015 - words below were written at that time, the photos opposite were taken this week.

Cosmetically in much the same condition, it's now got working running lights with a switch for forwards or reverse travel, two tone horn, three roof fans and a spare 12V switch giving scope for future development.

A 5 inch gauge class 47 battery-electric locomotive, put together according to the builder using a Dan Jeavons body mounted on Bexhill bogies, two motors per. It appears unused, built to a high standard with super-neat wiring loomed up and clipped down securely, with labels showing where everything goes.

The motors are controlled by a Parkside controller with remote hand controller, it requires two 12 volt batteries to provide the 24 volt running voltage, plus another smaller 12 volt battery to run ancillaries.
