A 5 inch gauge "Deltic" battery electric, recently completed from a Bexhill kit by an experienced modeller. It's been test run on the bench but has yet to see a track - mechanically it remains in as-new condition, the wheels are still pristine, as they came off the lathe.
Drive by four Pavalux motors, two per bogie, with a 100A Parkside 24V controller - supplied new in May 2018, with manufacturer's documentation. Hand held remote control which connects via a plug and socket on the buffer beam.
As always with these larger battery electric locomotives, you get a lot of pulling power from something that can be quickly disassembled into its component parts - batteries, bogies, body - each an easy one man lift.
