5 inch gauge LNER B1

A well-used example of Martin Evans' "Springbok" design for an LNER B1. Paintwork is tired and the motion work has seen a few miles, however the engine goes well and the boiler is sound.

Silver soldered boiler with superheaters, working pressure 90psi, feed by injector and axle pum pwith auxiliary hand pump in the tender. Gunmetal cylinders with piston valves actuated by Walschaert's gear with screw revser in cab. Mechanical lubricator.

Steve drove the engine earlier in the week and reports it goes well.
