5 inch gauge LNER K1 2-6-0 with commercial boiler

A finely made 5 inch gauge LNER K1, a well-advanced project which has come to us from the late owner's family.

A man of eclectic interests, with a collection of fine locomotives, classic motorcycles and original nameplates hung on his workshop wall.

Much of the work on his locomotives was put out to a professional engineer, including a good deal of the K1 build - the engine comes with receipts for both the work done and the commercially built boiler by John Ellis.

Work to date is to a good standard - machining is very crisp with good fit and finish, the chassis runs on air.

There is a large quantity of loose parts with some duplicates and unmachined castings - some have light surface rust, which comes off easily with Scotchbrite.
