7 1/4 inch gauge narrow gauge tender

A 7 1/4 inch narrow gauge tender, all steel construction with steel wheels running on plain bearings. Bodywork has a nicely executed flared top riveted on, typical of narrow gauge practice.

In good condition, it rolls freely. Paintwork is serviceable, although to our eyes it would be transformed repainted in a darker shade, panelled and lined out to match an engine!

Room in the footwell for two feet and a modest amount of coal, there's additional space under the seat - it would be an ideal place to fit a water tank and pump.

Built to a nominal 4 inch scale, it's the right size for Romulus/Milner Hunslet/Bagnall/Sweet Willam type locomotives.
