Mazeppa 0-4-0 - 7 1/4 inch gauge 0-4-0ST

New for 2024, "Mazeppa" is the latest addition to our range of 7 1/4 inch gauge locomotives, an 0-4-0 saddle tank inspired by pre-war industrial designs from firms such as Manning Wardle of Leeds.

Sharing the same well-proven running gear and boiler as our other Clubman range locomotives, Mazeppa is an ideal engine both for beginners starting out in this gauge as well as those requiring a robust, powerful locomotive for club running.

The boiler is UKCA and CE marked, all welded construction with expanded tubes and fitted with a fusible plug. Inspected by Lloyds during build, it comes complete with a documentation pack including material, welder's and initial hydraulic test certificate.

The spoked wheels are machined from EN8 steel, keyed and press-fitted to EN16T axles, running in sealed roller bearings.

Comprehensively equipped, the standard specification includes:

• Valve chest pressure gauge
• TIG-welded stainless steel saddle tank, 24.6 litre/5.4 imp gallon capacity

• Two pack livery in choice of colours

The engine shown is fitted with options including:
