2 1/2 inch gauge LMS Crab 2-6-0

A well-built 2 1/2 inch gauge Horwich "Crab", a type we rarely see modelled in any gauge - in the last twenty years we've had one in 7 1/4 inch gauge and another in 5 inch, that's the lot!

Instantly recognizable with its steeply raked cylinders, one example remains preserved in the National Railway Museum at Shildon.

An older engine, we suspect not steamed in some years. The boiler has had a twice working pressure hydraulic test and appeared dry and free of distortion, we would warranty as sound.
