3 1/2 inch gauge Southern Pacific Railroad 2-8-0

A finely built Southern Pacific Railroad 2-8-0, based on Martin Evans' "Buffalo" design but with a great deal of extra detailing.

The work of an extraordinarily gifted engineer, the man responsible for, amongst other things the Standard Class 5, Hawthorne Leslie and Southern King Arthur that have featured on the website recently.

Pictures opposite tell the story on this one. Workmanship is of a high order, fit and finish of the motionwork and valve gear is excellent. The engine is free-steaming and runs expectionally well - there's some video of it on the rolling road here.

Complete with a pair of storage crates.
