5 inch gauge AME Class 66

A 5 inch gauge Class 66 battery electric locomotive, supplied by Abbots Model Engineering complete with two custom-painted bodies. It has had little use and remains in excellent condition throughout.

Steel chassis bogies, each fitted with two motors with gear drive to the axles. Mtronics 24 volt controller with remote handset.

The bodies are quickly detachable, fitted with lights. The soundcard features sampled startup, speed-related running and shutdown, it includes an attenuate button to lower the volume in stations if required.

Cleverly designed, the locomotive quickly dismatles into its component parts - body, chassis, bogies, batteries - each an easy one man lift.
