5 inch gauge "Simplex" 0-6-0T

A 5 inch gauge 0-6-0 tank locomotive to Martin Evans' ever-popular "Simplex" design, an example of which must have run at just about every club track in the world since it was serialised in "Model Engineer" over fifty years ago.

The engine came to us with past club boiler history, it has had recent hydraulic and steam tests with new certification issued.

A well made engine with some nice detail variations from the original design, including extended side tanks with cutouts to clear the weighshaft and neatly done brass beading around the cab window frames and rear bunker.
