5 inch gauge "Simplex" 0-6-0T

A well-advanced 5 inch gauge "Simplex" 0-6-0T to the Martin Evans design, complete with commercially built boiler by Western Steam. It's come to us from the family of the builder - a professional engineer he was, amongst other things, responsible for maintaining the LMS Pacific 6201 "Princess Elizabeth" in main line condition from the late 1960s until 1993.

Work to date is, unsurprisingly, to a good standard and comprises a largely complete chassis, with reverser, drain cock linkage, lubricator, smokebox assembly and steam and exhaust pipework to cylinders.

There is a quantity of loose parts, including beautifully made bronze boiler fittings, fountain, handpump, safety valves, grate and ashpan,

There are partly built side tanks/cab sides in brass, along with bunker tank and material to complete.

An opportunity to produce a first class example of this popular design, with little further expenditure required.
