7 1/4 inch gauge Lynton & Barnstaple 2-6-2T "Yeo"

One of a pair of L&B locomotives built by Milner Engineering (the other, "Taw", is in the National Railway Museum), we sold this one back in 2013. It's recently come back in, having been in use at the Poplar Miniature Railway, Essex since. Weighing in at over a ton, it's a powerful engine although, with weight taken on five axles and flangeless centre driving wheels, it has run perfectly happily on 28mm aluminium rail with 35 foot radius bends.

Welded steel CE-marked boiler with expanded tubes by Bell Boilers, fitted new in 2014. 120psi working pressure. Feed by twin injectors, Ramsbottom type safety valve. Twin water gauges with protectors and chevron backing. Cast iron cylinders with slide valves actuated by Joy gear (unusual, through not unattractive, on an outside cylindered locomotive), pole reverser in the cab. The engine is fitted with a powerful steam brake, with commercial spec actuating valve in the cab. Whistle is from a Circle Line C69 train.

In excellent mechanical order throughout, paintwork is in good order - a fine model of a most attractive prototype.
