Maxitrak 1 inch scale Showmans engine

Factory-built and painted 1 inch scale Burrell Showmans engine.

Silver-soldered gas-fired copper boiler, gas tank beneath footplate in tender. Backhead fitted with water gauge with blowdown and pressure gauge. Single cylinder engine with slide valve actuated by Stephenson's valve gear, pole reverser on footplate, dummy governor. Belt driven dynamo. The canopy has been fitted with lights and there is a separate battery carrier and plug for lighting up the engine when it's not in steam - it has spent much of its life in the owner's living room as an illuminated display and consequently the condition is near-new.
