3 1/2 inch gauge Britannia

A 3 1/2 inch gauge "Britannia" to LBSC's popular design, published in 1951 the year the full-sized engine appeared. Bit of a curate's egg this one, the chassis is nicely made, boiler is sound, platework is by and large good. Cab windows and nameplates look like seaside souvenirs, the engine has been recently repainted to a reasonable rather than show-winning standard. Runs well on air, it comes complete with a pair of well made transport/storage crates.

Silver soldered boiler, 80psi working pressure, feed by injector and axle pump with auxiliary hand pump in the tender. Gunmetal cylinders with piston valves actuated by Walschaerts gear, screw reverser. Mechanical lubricator.
