3 1/2 inch gauge Maryport & Carlisle Railway 2-2-2-0

An absolute jewel of a "Crampton" 2-2-2-0, built by Tulk & Ley for the Maryport & Carlisle Railway in 1854. Rarely modelled in any gauge, this is the only 3 1/2 inch Crampton we've seen.

An older engine, beautifully made and of delicate proportions, with a fine, gently faded patina.

Little point in dilating further on this for now as, on arrival, it disappeared up to the house, destined for somebody's mantelpiece. We'll let you know when it returns...
