7 1/4 inch gauge GP38 with driving & passenger trucks

A 7 1/4 inch gauge EMD GP38, the 2000hp switcher built by General Motors in the late seventies and eighties - over 2000 were made, remarkably most are still running.

A robustly built, well detailed model with all steel body work and chassis. It's a large, heavy locomotive - over seven feet long and two feet high - powered by two 74Ah batteries driving four motors via a 4QD controller.

Built in Belgium, the locomotive was originally air-braked, it has subsequently been fitted with vacuum brake equipment in the driver's car.

Complete with a pair of colour-matched driver and passenger trucks.
