Gauge 1 Aster LNER A4 Pacific "Silver Link"

A gauge 1 LNER A4 "Silver Link" by Aster, a factory built engine in good condition, complete with original manufacturer's packaging, tools, touch-up paint, gloves and documentation.

Built in 1935, "Silver Link" was the first of the A4 class to be built, designed to haul the newly introduced "Silver Jubilee" train. On its inaugrual run from Kings Cross it touched 112.5mph, breaking previous records and a precursor of classmate "Mallard"'s run down Stoke Bank at 126mph thirteen years later.

The engine appears to have had light use. It turns over freely, paintwork is in good condition.
