5 inch gauge Andrew Barclay 0-4-0T "Dougal"

A beautifully made 5 inch gauge Andrew Barclay 0-4-0, originally built for Provan Gas Works in 1946 - hence the cut down loading gauge - and latterly preserved at the Welshpool & Llanfair Railway.

Work to date is to an exceptional standard throughout; fit and finish of machined parts is excellent, the silver soldered copper boiler neatly flanged and put together with good solder penetration - it's had a twice working pressure hydraulic test for 80psi working, with certification issued for same.

The locomotive requires minor finishing work and painting, it has the potential to make a very fine model.
