5 inch gauge part-built "Simplex" 0-6-0T

A 5 inch gauge Simplex, largely complete but dismantled - a stalled restoration project that's come to us from a long-time customer.

An older engine, work to date comprises fitting new cast iron pistons & rings, replacement of one axle with new sleeved wheel bearings fitted, and a new top feed fitted to the boiler.

The chassis is immensely stiff to turn over, but without tight spots.

The silver soldered copper boiler is complete with club boiler paperwork, issued after a top feed was fitted. Now expired, although we would warranty as sound.
