7 1/4 inch gauge Quarry Hunslet 0-4-0ST chassis

A 7 1/4 inch gauge, 4 inch scale Quarry Hunslet chassis. The work of an experienced model engineer with many locomotives to his credit, including a "Lilla" in the same gauge, it has been built to a good standard.

Work to date comprises a rolling chassis with flycranks broached and axles machined for keys, eccentric sheaves fitted, machined cylinders complete with valve chests, valves and glands with PTFE packing. There is a pair of expansion links, complete with lifting links, die blocks and spindles.

From here the chassis could be completed to an air-running state with little expenditure other than stock material for connecting, coupling and eccentric rods, and a pair of eccentric strap and crosshead castings, available from Reeves.
