Part-built 3 1/2 inch gauge "Northumbrian"

A 3 1/2 inch gauge "Northumbrian", Tony Weale's update on LBSC's "Rainhill" design, complete with drawings for both designs and copies of the construction series from "Engineering in Miniature" magazine.

Work to date comprises rolling chassis and tender along with a box of parts including machined cylinder sets, connecting rods and some boiler fittings.

The commercially built silver soldered by is by Western Steam, a finely made thing complete with manufacturer's documentation and initial hydraulic test certificate.
