1 1/2 inch scale Allchin traction engine

A finely built 1 1/2 inch scale Allchin traction engine to the "Royal Chester" design, an older engine which remains in good condition.

Paintwork is to a good standard, lined out. It remains in good condition, with some minor chips and paint loss in places.

Boiler appears well made, neatly flanged and soldered although there are two minor leaks on the ends of longitudinal stays in the smokebox. The engine runs very well on air.

The brake nut has a worn or stripped thread and requires replacement, along with a missing blanking plug from the base of the cylinder block.

Complete some well-thumbed drawings used in its construction.
