5 inch gauge LMS Black 5

A 5 inch gauge LMS Black 5, completed in 2007. A well made engine, it has some nice detailing.

Silver soldered copper boiler, four stainless steel radiant superheaters. Feed by twin injectors. Gunmetal cylinders with piston valves actuated by Walschaert's gear, screw reverser in cab. Twin mechanical lubricators.

The engine was in regular use at the owner's club until two years ago, in recent times sidelined with a leak on the front tubeplate.

Complete with club boiler history and a pair of custom-built storage crates.
