Maxwell Hemmens steam plant

A Maxwell Hemmens gas-fired steam plant, comprising centre flue boiler with horizontal engine.

The engine is fitted with a displacement lubricator and feed pump with bypass valve and water tank. It turns over freely and runs well on air.

In excellent condition, the plant appears to have had little, if any use from new. Mounted on a wooden base, there is very minor wear to the varnish at one end.
