Twin cylinder vertical engine with Stephensons reversing gear

A beautifully made twin cylinder vertical engine with reversing gear, scratch-built by a highly experienced engineer along with a boiler which we sold a couple of years ago - the engine was spirited away at that time and has been gracing the mantlepiece at home ever since.

Fit of all parts is to a high standard, the engine turns over very smoothly and runs on air very well in either direction.
