Gas-fired semi-portable engine

A small scratch-built overtype steam plant, featuring a gas-fired centre flue boiler with single cylinder engine mounted on top - there is a gas tank and hand pump.

Another creation from a highly capable designer/engineer whose work has featured in these pages in the past - regular readers will remember his Westbury Centaur, 2 inch scale Shand Mason fire engine pump (which ran absolutely beautifully) and the utterly wonderful radio-controlled WWI Mk4 tank.

The boiler has had a twice working pressure hydraulic test with new certification issued; the engine runs on air, further fettling of the valve timing would improve its performance.
