Heavy duty vintage drilling machine

A heavy duty vintage drilling machine, possibly ex-ship's workshop where it would have been bolted to a wall. It's come to us with a collection of full size stationary engines and steam pumps.

Turns freely, fitted with a heavy flywheel and simple single-hole chuck with grubscrew fastening - we assume to take blacksmith style drills with a common shank size.

There is a cam operated power downfeed which requires overhaul, the cam not giving enough throw to engage the next pawl of the ratchet.

A little under a hundredweight - given its size and modest value, collection from works on this one, there's no economic way to ship it!
