1 1/2 inch scale Allchin traction engine "Royal Chester"

A 1 1/2 inch scale Allchin agricultural engine to Bill Hughes highly detailed "Royal Chester" design.

An older engine, quite well made in the first place and decently painted, although lining out was not the builder's forte...

The ashpan is currently stuck fast to the foundation ring, its fastener seized; the regulator leaks copiously, precluding any meaningful hydraulic test.

The engine runs on air, somewhat choppy although would improve in steam; there is wear evident in small end and main bearings.
