3 1/2 inch gauge "Rob Roy" 0-6-0T

Parts, castings and a commercially made boiler for a 3 1/2 inch gauge Caledonian Railway 0-6-0T to Martin Evans' "Rob Roy" design.

Includes:

• Silver soldered copper boiler by Bishop-Ellis, with manufacturer's certification
• Erected frames with horns and buffer beams
• Smokebox complete with front ring and door
• Machined cast iron driving wheels
• Machined gunmetal axleboxes
• Part-machined gunmetal cylinders, complete with valve chests and covers, with unmachined castings for slide valves and end covers
• Unmachined castings for dome, chimney, eccentric straps, saddle
• Kit of profiled brass for cab and bunker
• Laser profiled connecting and coupling rod blanks
• Fabricated rear bunker tank and ashpan
• Drawings

Work to date is to a good standard, with the potential to produce a fine example of this handsome design when finished. The link below shows a particularly fine example which we sold back in 2022.
