3 inch scale Aveling steam wagon

A 3 inch scale Aveling & Porter steam wagon, assembled from a Maxitrak kit supplied new in 1995. Silver soldered boiler by Cheddar, 80psi working pressure, feed by injector, mechanical and hand pumps. Cast iron cylinder with slide valve actuated by Stephenson's gear, pole reverser, mechanical lubricator.

Using many of the same parts as their popular Aveling steam tractor, the wagon provides an "en-suite" driving truck and comfortable driving position with its forward-set footpegs.
