3 inch scale Burrell 6nhp agricultural engine

A well built example of the Plastow Burrell in 3 inch scale, fit and finish of machined parts is good, there are nice details such as the cross-drilled and split-pinned studs on the cylinder block showing a bit of extra care having gone into the build.

Silver soldered copper boiler, 100psi working pressure, feed by injector and mechanical pump with bypass. Twin Ramsbottom type safety valves. Cast iron cylinder with slide valve actuated by Stephenson's gear, mechanical lubricator. Whistle mounted on cylinder block.

Two speed, three shaft transmission with differential, band brake, winch behind nearside rear wheel with fairleads on tender.

The engine runs well on air - there's some video of it here. Boiler has had a twice working pressure hydraulic test - structurally sound although with a couple of pinhole leaks - one on the firehole door, one on the foundation ring - which will require repair.
