3 inch scale Maxitrak Aveling & Porter

We sold this one back in 2015 shortly after it had been fitted with a new boiler. It's recently come back in, goes just as well as ever. Words below from last time it was here, pictures and a video of it running around the yard were taken this afternoon.

We've had this one in before, a 1996 engine recently fitted with a brand new CE-marked boiler supplied by Maxitrak - the boiler is in as-new condition.

The engine goes well, free-steaming and easy to drive (although with a little care needed to steer in high gear, they go like rockets!). The engine was painted and professionally lined and sign written to a high standard and comes complete with a matching driving/passenger trolley on pneumatic wheels.

Copper TIG-welded / silver soldered boiler, feed by mechanical pump with bypass, auxiliary hand pump on the footplate. 80psi working pressure. Cast iron cylinder with slide valve, Stephensons gear with pole reverser, mechanical lubricator.

Two speed, three shaft transmission, rubber tyres on road wheels. Since last here the engine has been road registered and comes with V5 document.
