3/4 inch scale Allchin agricultural engine

A 3/4 inch scale coal-fired Allchin traction engine, built from a Michael Holden kit that we sold some years ago. The man who built it - he also owns an 8 ton Aveling & Porter steam roller - reports it runs well, although the fire needs close attention at all times...

Silver soldered coal-fired boiler, feed by mechanical pump. Gunmetal cylinder with slide valve actuated by Stephenon's gear, pole reverser, displacement lubricator. Two road speeds.
