5 inch gauge GWR "King" 4-6-0

A 5 inch gauge GWR "King" 4-6-0, the work of a man employed at Vickers-Armstrong in the1960s. He'd already built a 2 1/2 inch gauge "Uranus", which was complete in the early 1970s, before embarking on the King.

The project has languished for many years, the chassis is seized, the centre cylinders and valve gear only loosely fitted and the tender wheels tight on back to backs.

That said, we think that it could be got running on air for little expenditure other than time in the workshop - it would be a good time to sort out the tender wheelsets too.
