5 inch gauge GWR Manor 4-6-0

A 5 inch gauge GWR "Manor" to the Martin Evans design, recently arrived with us from the son of the builder.

Fitted with a 2016 Western Steam boiler, it's passed a hydraulic test and is supplied with both original manufacturer's documentation and our own recent certification.

It proved free-steaming under test, running well in both directions. Injectors proved reliable from the get-go - always a blessing - and the safety valves open reliably at 88psi.

On test the water pipe from the hand pump had a split in it just below the clack - this has been replaced.

Complete with extension controls, coal chute, and set of drawings.
