5 inch gauge LNER B1

A 5 inch gauge LNER B1 to Martin Evans' popular "Springbok" design, this one gives all the appearance of a stalled overhaul (albeit one that stalled many years ago, given the dust on it)

Originally well built, the locomotive pushes along freely. There is a coupling rod brass missing, presumably removed for replacement; cab sides are loosely fitted, roof missing, along with the outer dome and tender buffers. Tender has a part-made top rear cover plate in brass.

Cylinders are in cast iron, at some stage converted from piston to slide valve, with gunmetal valve chests.
