5 inch gauge "Simplex" 0-6-0T

A 5 inch gauge 0-6-0T, based on Martin Evans' "Simplex" design with modifications, including split axle boxes, twin axle pumps and valve rod guides.

The chassis is well made - it turns over freely without tight spots and runs on air.

The copper boiler is complete with radiant superheaters, regulator, fittings, cladding and smokebox assembly.

The majority of the work remaining is platework - as always, our friends at Model Engineers Laser offer a comprehensive selection of parts suitable for this design.

Complete with building stand, allowing the chassis to be turned over easily.
