5 inch gauge Super Simplex (green)

Built as one of a pair by an experienced model engineer and based on Martin Evans' popular "Simplex" design, this engine is around 90% complete. The silver soldered copper boiler has been well put together and was hydraulic tested by the builder's club before installation. The chassis turns over freely.

Work remaining includes cylinder cladding, backhead fittings and pipework.
