Gauge 1 "Chingford Express"

A well-made gauge 1 spirit-fired 0-6-0 tank engine to LBSC's "Chingford Express" design, apparently little-used – although the boiler shows signs of having steamed, the motion work is in pretty much pristine condition.

Silver soldered water tube boiler with four-wick burner, single cylinder with slide valve actuated by slip eccentric gear. Displacement lubricator.

The engine is well-finished, if in rather a drab shade, and comes complete with a fitted wooden box.
