3/4 inch scale Basset-Lowke Burrell agricultural engine

A 3/4 inch scale Bassett Lowke spirit-fired traction engine, it's come to us from the owner's son who remembers his father building it in the early 1970s - he also built the interesting little Pen-y-darren engine we sold recently.

In particularly good condition, it's one of the nicest we've seen. Well cared for the last fifty years, there is little by way of wear to the motionwork, the paintwork remains bright if a little dusty in places.

Complete with a fitting which replaces the displacement lubricator, allowing the engine to be run on air (which it does, nicely, notching up in either direction).
