Gauge 3 DB 0-4-0 diesel

A Gauge 3 DB Kleinlokomotive Class II, commercially built by Magnus Handworks.

Designed in 1932 as a robust, lightweight shunter, the design showed remarkable longevity, the last locomotive being retired from service in 1999.

With a top speed of only 19mph, the chassis was designed to fit onto a standard gauge flat wagon for transit between goods yards!

Founded in 1976 by Christian Hoehne, Magnus manufactured small runs of high-quality two-rail electric locomotives, including several early prototypes for LGB.

Beautifully observed, quality of workmanship is very high throughout, with cast detailing and an all-steel body.

It runs in both directions with operational running lights - these are fairly dim and very yellow, much nicer than the bright white LEDs found in some more modern lamps.

Complete with original storage box.
